COTE Modular Plug Crimping Tool is an efficient manual device used for cutting, stripping, and crimping network and telephone wires. Model CCT-2008R offers support for 4P, 6P, and 8P plug sizes, which means that this instrument is compatible with RJ11, RJ12, and RJ45 connectors. It is recommended for use in LAN Ethernet cable installations and telephone lines. This manual device is designed to serve different purposes at once. It contains stripper blades for both flat and round cables and four-pins, six-pins, and eight-pins crimping dies. The ratchet mechanism ensures uniform pressure on the wire while crimping. There is also a possibility to switch off this function to avoid improper operation.
To strip 4P and 6P wires, users should insert them vertically until they hit the stop guide. The usual length of stripping for such wires is 6 mm. To strip 8P wires, insert them between the blades of the stripper, then move beyond the cutter. To strip round wires, rotate the tool while pushing the handles. Once you strip off, arrange the wires properly and then feed them into the plug, ensuring that their arrangement is proper at both ends. Then push the plug into the holder and close the handles until the crimping process is finished. It also provides you with the facility of crimping a DEC plug with the help of the 6P holder.
